Over the next 6 months you will have plenty of time to decide what you want to grow in your garden next spring. If you enjoy eating eggplant I would suggest that you consider growing it. Not only is it easy to grow, but its compact plant size and colorful flowers and orbs make it the perfect addition to a flower bed or pot.

There are many varieties of Eggplant with different sizes, shapes and colors

As with many other vegetables, there is usually only one type of each vegetable available to purchase at the grocery store. When you are growing your own, there is a vast selection, depending on where you purchase your seedlings. I planted these three varieties above last summer. All did well in my front yard beds, nestled in with my flowers.
